A142 reinforcement mesh is the most frequently used mesh for light duty domestic concreting to strengthen foundations, floor slabs and walls where the concrete is generally 100 - 150mm thick. A142 mesh is often specified for DIY, Self-Build and many domestic applications such as patios, paving slabs, driveways, shed and garage bases, garden rooms and home office foundations, walls etc. As the expected loads placed on domestic concrete slabs etc. are relatively low, there is less requirement for a heavier mesh (depending on traffic volume). A142 mesh is relatively light and easy to manoeuvre into place.
